In the summer of 2021, I found myself collaborating with Bob Cutler, a self-proclaimed “music aficionado” on a lifelong passion project of his: a music trivia book geared towards the discerning "music nerd". As someone who rejoices, and finds comfort, in music I was immediately enthusiastic at the prospect of working with Bob; although I have to admit that I maybe answered a grand total of three of the questions in this book correctly. Music, in my opinion, is an unparalleled source of joy; one that seamlessly weaves its way into the fabric of my daily life (when I say I can’t go more than a few hours without listening to it, I’m not exaggerating). Thus, the prospect of contributing to a project that celebrates this passion and love of music ignited my excitement from the outset.

Ultimately tasked with breathing life into the cover and fashioning 22 illustrations to complement each chapter, I embraced the opportunity to merge creativity with an unwavering love for music, resulting in a collaborative book that hopefully strikes a chord with music nerds worldwide. This project was a true pleasure to work on and if even one reader was pulled in by the cover art, inspired by a 45 RPM record sleeve, I’ll consider it a job well-done!
